Meet Shane.

Shane O’Garro is a speaker, strategist, writer, and community leader whose work centers on homelessness, housing, leadership, and the systems people depend on.

A former candidate for Mayor of San Diego and former president of the Mira Mesa Town Council, Shane brings a civic perspective grounded in local responsibility, public accountability, and practical solutions.

Now based in Boston, Shane brings experience in homelessness outreach and community leadership to conversations about housing, stability, and what meaningful progress looks like.

As Chief Architect of Drop Squad LLC, Shane shapes events and community experiences, including Financial Reset. Through The Shane Standard, he writes independent commentary on homelessness, leadership, cities, and rebuilding.

He is also the author of One San Diego, which presents his perspective on homelessness, housing, economic opportunity, and accountable local government.

His speaking explores both the systems that serve people and the personal leadership it takes to move forward. He is available for television and radio interviews, keynotes, panels, and speaking engagements.
